A Good Candidate

Ages 5-18


With some considerations, a candidate should generally

.

  1. 1)be non aggressive

  2. 2)be potty trained and able to use the facilities on their own.

  3. 3)need no continuous medical attention in the classroom

  4. 4)be able to participate in daily class activities.

  5. 5)exhibit some stimming, but not in a way that is habitually self harming (we take considerations here, so please talk with us).

  3. 3)Schedule Observation Day - this is when your child will attend a class and we will observe their behavior. This observation day may turn into an observation week which has a $75 fee.

Our Special Ed. program is very affordable. Tuition starts at $350 - $950/month. [More Info]


Fees


Application: FREE

Resource Fee: $450.00 -resource fees will be charged at the beginning of all new/renewing contracts (approximately yearly)


Observation Fee: a one day observation, which is generally necessary is FREE; however, if we request that your student is observed for more than one day, the fee is $15/day ($30 for the first re-observation day). Usually we will require five days at $75.00 if re-observation is necessary.

Intro:

The Clowvazar Academy Special Education Program is designed for two specific learners (1) students who are considered ‘incapable of completing a General Education Curriculum’ (2) those who need slight to no modifications in-order to complete a ‘General Education Curriculum’. The Clowvazar Academy considers students who are low to high functioning. If you are unsure of the status of your child’s abilities, please call. We do not, however accept students with major behavior issues.


Note:

Students who have ADD, ADHD, Aspergers, or High Functioning Autism, or similar slight cognitive issues may qualify for our General Education Program or placement in a General Education class for some subjects. 


Basic Expectations:

All students must be toilet trained, and must not require a nurse, or other medical care during the school day. Currently, The Clowvazar Academy is not equipped to accept children with physical disabilities --including limited mobility, severe hearing or visual loss. Students must not display daily harmful aggression, instances of aggression will be subject to disciplinary action. Students are also expected to follow all rules within the Student Handbook.


Education:

The Clowvazar Academy is not a day-care, both students and parents will be expected to demonstrate will, desire, and determination towards meeting the education goals given to each student as required by Clowvazar Academy learning standards and/or each student’s Individualized Learning Plan developed by Clowvazar staff for the student. During times when care of a child outside of the duties of a Private School is needed, a parent must be available.


It is the policy of The Clowvazar Academy to not admit any student who we feel would not benefit from our private school programs. We do not discriminate against anyone on the basis of race, color, gender, national or ethnic origin, or sexual orientation.
