The Clowvazar Academy is governed primarily by the Headmaster, Mr. Austin Clow, (owner). The Headmaster is the sole executor; however, the Headmaster is advised by two boards -- the Staff Advisory Board and the Parent Advisory Board. For the purposes  of Accreditation, we create an Accreditation Committee that is committed to ensuring we are adhering to the requirements of the accreditation agency.  This is an on-going process that we hope to be finished with between 2026-April or 2026-November. 

Staff Advisory Board

The staff advisory board is composed entirely of the teaching and tutoring staff at The Clowvazar Academy.  There are two Speakers of the Staff Advisory board -- one for Elementary and another for the Jr./Sr. High School. The Staff Advisory Board is responsible for the following: 

(1) Advising the Headmaster on Policy and Vision

(2) Representing Staff Voices

(3) Collaborating on School Improvement

(4) Supporting Hiring and Onboarding

(5) Reviewing and Evaluating Programs

(6) Monitoring Staff Morale and Work Environment

(7) Participating in Strategic Planning

(8) Acting as Liaisons During Crisis or Conflict

(9) Ensuring Alignment with Core Values

(10) Reviewing School Safety and Cleanliness Standards

The purpose of the Speaker is to ensure that the goals of the board are met. They are also responsible for reporting opinions, consensus and reports to the Headmaster; especially during  investigation. They are responsible for meeting with their team regularly to ensure that the goals and vision of the school are met.

Parent Advisory Board

The Parent Advisory Board is a small group of parents appointed by the Headmaster who have  a background or work experience in education outside of Clowvazar. Their role is to help provide balanced advice to the Headmaster. In order to be on the board, they must have a student who has attended Clowvazar or is currently attending Clowvazar for at least 18 months, are a teacher or have teaching experience and not receive any major tuition reductions (under 65%).  This is an invitation only group. The board should always be composted of at least two members. A current staff at The Clowvazar Academy can be on the board, but must not also be a Speaker on the Staff Advisory Board.

Reading and Math Intervention Teacher (retired), Public School. Lois is the only parent on the board who is also an employee of The Clowvazar Academy.

Has degrees in Business Administration, an MBA,  a M.A. Human Services Counseling, currently working on a Ph. D. in Bible Exposition

Robert M.

For the past 15 years has worked for Educational Testing Services (ETS) serving as an Assessment Specialist and a Process Specialist for a number of state assessments. Has worked as  a Social Studies Department Chair of a South Texas High School. BA in History, MA in Political Science.

Accreditation Committee

The Clowvazar Academy is seeking accreditation during the Fall 2025 semester. After a year long Self-Study we have begun the process of applying for accreditation that we hope to be complete by Fall 2027/Spring 2028. The Accreditation Committee is composed of the Administration, Staff Advisory Board, Parent Advisory Board and help from additional parents. The Accreditation Committee is responsible for ensuring that our school's policies and operations conform to the requirements of the accreditation agency.  This committee has been an integral part of the process and will continue to be a part of the process over the next two years.
