Academic Unit & Self-Paced Unit:
The Academic Unit is designed for students who are General Ed, Gifted-And-Talented or Special Ed. (up to two years behind ins school with some exceptions) and can graduate with a typical academic education plan.
The Self-Paced unit is geared more towards students who make slower progress, are often more than two years behind in school (with exceptions) and are not necessarily going to graduate on-time or with what would be considered a typical academic plan.
Sunshine Unit Unit:
Students enrolled in Sunshine Unit often present with severe learning struggles or major struggles preforming well in a classroom. They often need a lot of redirection and a small group.
Special Enrollment Period:
Students enrolling for immediate enrollment after February 29th will be required to enroll for the current school year and the following school year, but will only be assessed one yearly enrollment fee (instead of two).
Culinary Arts & Job Readiness Track:
The Clowvazar Academy is a secular school; however we welcome families of faith. We believe in creating a space where students can explore their beliefs while creating bridges between, and respect for, others. We teach tolerance of differences. We believe strongly that our programs should be a place without persecution of non-harmful differences. Our core faith is in truth, honesty and, above all, kindness to others.We believe in teaching critical-thinking skills which can strengthen and develop informed beliefs and conclusions about our world. Staff are instructed to act as mediators and not indoctrinators when possible. It is important, however, to note that we analyze truth through a scientific lens and will use the scientific method as our primary understanding of the universe which is reflected in our curriculum.
