Academic Unit:

Gifted-And-Talented, General Ed & Minor Special Ed. 

Ages 5+ (1st-12th)

The Academic Unit is designed for students who have anxiety, ADD, ADHD, High Functioning Autism or other related issues. 

We take innovative approach to learning that helps keep anxiety low and motivation hight. Instead of placing students in a grade according to their age, we place students in individual subjects according to their abilities. This means that per subject we never hold students back from their potential and never promote them when they are not ready. 

Available Tracks: 

- Standard Track (requires only 4 classes per semester)

- College Track (requires electives)

- Fine Arts Track (requires enrollment in Fine Arts lecture and Studio)

- Culinary Arts Track (requires enrollment in Culinary Arts Studio)

Features: 

• No standardized testing (no STAAR)

• SAT prep for high school students

• Individualized Education (for some students)

• During school one-on-one tutoring (as needed).

As we are a year-round school, we have one week off every three to four weeks (with some exceptions).
